To the Twin Towers

Made it to Kuala Lumpur. I think we have biked too much these past days. On day 2 we rode 135 km and day 3 a whopping 163 km! That is too much. So we are going to try and stick around 100 km per day.

Biking past 12 noon is way too hot. We kept taking break after break and not really going far. As such we are starting around 5:30am now and ending around lunchtime. Hopefully we can stick to the new routine.

It is pretty tough I have to admit... and boring. Just road, road, road, the odd gas station and you guessed it... more road. It is nice though passing through familiar territory. Yesterday morning we strolled through Melaka (where my good friend Su-N hails from!) and took a shot of the famous church there.

A few people have asked where we have biked and what our plan is. For example I met a German guy just at the Petronas Towers and he asked about our trip. He told me he had done some touring in Germany, France and Spain. So it seems a lot of people do big bike trips.

Getting into KL wasn't easy as well. There are too many expressways. We weaved in and out of an expressway as we got lost from the main road. I wonder though if there is a way to enter KL without taking an expressway.

Four days down and over 500 km done... still a long way to go...
